The family was invited to the White House for a speach from the President on September 8, 2008. The President invited all of the Presidential Greeters to the event. I was a Presidential Greeter and you can read about it here.

We spent the entire weekend in Washington and went to the National Air and Space Museum (Steven F Udar-Hazy Center) and George Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate and Gardens.
