Spaceship Earth at Night

Spaceship Earth at NightPhotos of that I took on our Christmas Trip to Walt Disney Work.   is the main anchor of the Themepark.  It is visible from almost every point in the park.  Wikipedia describes it as:

Spaceship Earth is the iconic and symbolic structure of Epcot, the second
of four theme parks built at the Resort. One of the most
recognizable structures of any theme park, it is also the name of the
attraction that is housed within the 18-story geodesic sphere that takes
guests on a time machine-themed experience using the Omnimover system.
The 15-minute dark ride shows guests how advancements in human communication
have helped to create the future one step at a time. Passengers journey back
in time to witness the origins of prehistoric man. Passengers then make several
stops to witness important breakthroughs in communication throughout history—
from the invention of the alphabet to the creation of the printing press to
communication via computers. Then, after answering a few questions, Siemens
technology allows guests to see what their future will look like.

This is an 18 story Geodesic Sphere that is located at 28° 22′ 31.16″ N, 81° 32′ 57.87″ W, it is 165′ in diameter, 518′ Circumference, with a volume of 2,350,000 cubic feet

This is probably one of the most photographed elements within the park. I hope that you enjoy the photos that I took of it.

Enjoy!
