Through my families volunteer work with Family Adoption Consultants and Friends of Adoptive Families I have learned of Lydia.  She is a 5 year old girl adopted from China that has been diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML).  Her best hope for survial is for a Bone Marrow Transplant in the next few months.  The best match for the transplant would come from a family member.

Miracles do happen and they have for Lydia.  A transplant match has been found in her birth family and they have agreed to travel to the United States.  But there is considerable expense involved in getting the family to the United States for the procedure.  If you would like to make a donation you can do so through Friends of Adoptive Families on the Current News Page there is a link to donate.

Glenn Beck was in Akron, actually at the Borders Book Store in Cuyahoga Falls, signing his latest book THE CHRISTMAS SWEATER  We all went to get a chance to shake his hand and say hello and thank him for everything he does.  WTAM must have sposored the event as they had a banner but I did not see anyone that looked like they represented the radio station.
