Last night, February 9, 2026, marked a bittersweet evening at Twinsburg High School as the Lady Tigers hosted the Norton Panthers for their final regular season game on senior night. The gym was buzzing with energy as fans packed the stands to honor the senior class. Twinsburg, coming off a tough triple-overtime loss to Brecksville just days earlier, looked to end the season on a high note against a gritty Norton squad in this non-conference matchup. The celebration kicked off with pre-game ceremonies recognizing the seniors.

The game itself was a defensive battle, with Twinsburg pulling away in the second half to secure a 42-32 victory over Norton. Senior forward Kayla Cellura led the charge with 18 points, showcasing her scoring prowess and leadership on the court. The Lady Tigers’ impressive second-half performance, marked by strong rebounding and timely shots, turned a close contest into a decisive win, improving their overall record to 17-5. Norton put up a fight, but Twinsburg’s defense held them to just 32 points total. In the JV matchup earlier, Norton edged out Twinsburg 34-25, setting the stage for the varsity thriller.

As the regular season wraps up, this senior night win feels like the perfect send-off for the Twinsburg seniors who’ve built a legacy of resilience and excellence. With the Ohio High School Athletic Association state tournament looming, the Lady Tigers are poised for a deep postseason run, carrying the momentum from this defensive masterclass. It’s been an exciting season for Tiger Nation, and last night’s game was a reminder of why high school basketball brings communities together—honoring the past while looking ahead to March madness.
