Last night at Wadsworth High School, I had the privilege of capturing the OHSAA Division II Northeast Regional semifinal as the Twinsburg battled Massillon Washington in a hard-fought 63-57 victory. The game was intense from tip-off. Twinsburg’s resilience shone through as they pulled away late to advance to the regional final against Archbishop Hoban on Thursday. As always, I aimed to document the action, emotion, and key moments that make high school basketball so special.
A standout highlight was senior Kayla Cellura reaching the 1,000-career points milestone during the contest. She delivered a stellar performance with 27 points, including the bucket that crossed the historic threshold, joining teammate Taylor Dye in this elite club for the program. The moment was electric, and the team celebrated her achievement amid the excitement of the win. Congratulations to Kayla on her dedication, hard work, and leadership—it’s moments like these that make covering these games so rewarding.
Full galleries from the game are now live on my website , featuring action shots, celebrations, and more. I share these freely to support local high school sports and the athletes who pour everything into their seasons.
