Yesterday, Sunday, April 12, 2026, I had the chance to photograph another exciting matchup in Ohio’s first-ever sanctioned high school girls flag football season. The Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy Royals faced off against the Stow-Monroe Falls Bulldogs, and the game did not disappoint. In a close, back-and-forth battle, the Royals came out on top with a hard-fought 18-13 victory.
Being on the sidelines for this one reminded me why I love covering this sport so much. The speed, quick decision-making, and non-stop action make for some of the best photo opportunities in high school athletics right now.
It’s been awesome watching girls flag football take off across Ohio this year. With the OHSAA officially sanctioning the sport and a state tournament on the horizon, the level of play keeps rising. Both the Royals and Bulldogs brought intensity and sportsmanship to the field yesterday.
A big congratulations to the CVCA Royals on the win, and respect to Stow-Monroe Falls for battling until the final play.
Photos of the games are in the High School Flag Football (Girls) Page on my PHOTOGRAPHY WEBSITE.
