Twinsburg and Mayfield Split JV and Varsity Girls Soccer Matches

Twinsburg hosted Mayfield for junior varsity and varsity girls soccer on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at Tiger Stadium. The Tigers won the JV match 6–0, while Mayfield earned a 2–1 victory in the varsity match.

My coverage began during the second half of the JV match because I had been visiting the Twinsburg Safety Forces Open House earlier in the evening. The varsity match was stopped for lightning a little way into the second half. I left during the ensuing rain delay, so the photographs below cover only the portion of the varsity match played before that stoppage.

JV: Twinsburg 6, Mayfield 0

Twinsburg completed a 6–0 JV win. The photographs from this match begin in the second half and show the Tigers pressing forward, defending their goal and celebrating together.

Varsity: Mayfield 2, Twinsburg 1

Mayfield won the varsity match 2–1. The evening’s varsity coverage starts with the captains and officials before kickoff, then follows the action into the second half, when lightning stopped play and sent the teams off the field.

Records and Next Games

Based on the records listed before the match and the supplied final result, Twinsburg’s varsity record is 7–6–1 and Mayfield’s is 5–3–6. Twinsburg is scheduled to host Berea-Midpark for a JV/varsity event at 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 10. Mayfield is scheduled to visit Amherst Steele that day, with JV at 5 p.m. and varsity at 7 p.m.
