Video from a trip to Ouray in Sept 2021. This is Black Bear Pass. One of the most iconic off-road trails in the world. This trail is rated as difficult, primarily due to the steep drop offs on the switchbacks. I would not suggest anyone without experience off road to attempt this trail. This is a long video as I have included all of the video footage from the top of the switchbacks all the way into Telluride. If you only watch a portion I suggest that you stick around about 10 min until the descent into Telluride begins. A full set of photos is in this Gallery on my Photography Website. Enjoy!
Have you heard of the “Million Dollar Highway”? It is US 550 between Silverton, Durango and Ouray (Colorado). This stretch of of road is not very long but it will take you a while to traverse it as it winds through the mountains with stretches having speed limits of 25 MPH. There are steep drop offs and curves. The drop offs are in the hundreds to thousands of feet, but there is no guardrail. You have to be very careful driving this road.
I strung together several clips when driving north on the way into Ouray.
Enjoy!
In September a group of guys and myself traveled from Ohio to Ouray, Colorado to go off-road in the San Juan Mountains. We did a number of the high mountain passes. Engineer Pass was the firs one we did. I took photos and videos. Below you can find some of my favorite videos and a link to a YouTube Video I made. Enjoy!
At the end of July my son and I attended the Jeep Jamboree – 10th Coal Mountain 2021 which takes place at AOAA in PA. This was the third time I have attended this Jamboree. This time was the best, we chose a harder trail and had a great time hanging with everyone and going off-road. Definitely do this again! Some photos and a video are below and you can see more on my photography website in the 2021 Gallery, and look back at the 2019 and 2017 galleries as well. Enjoy!
I stopped by Porsche of Beachwood today for the Cars & Coffee Event. This was a free event and open to everyone. There was a ton of cars on display, primarily higher end performance cars nut there one was one early 1970s Ford Bronco on display as well. You can check out my photos from the event below and Hi-Res versions are on my Photography Website in this Gallery. I am hopeful they will do this again this summer. Enjoy!
Earlier this month a group of 4 guys from Ohio invaded Windrock. This was a weekend trip and we had 3 days of wheeling. It was a great trip and we hope to get back there in the future.
While on the trails I had a GPS Track Logger going. This is an image of Google Earth with the tracks shown. Day One is in Red, Day Two is in Blue, and Day 3 is Purple.
I created this video from photos taken and a few video clips. It is long but you will get to see everything we did.
All the photos I took and the ones sent to me by the others on the trip are on my Photography Website in this Gallery.
What do you do on a May Day in NE Ohio when the weather radar looks like this?
Well, if you are me, then you would detail a vehicle in the garage! I got my Jeep all set up in the garage to give it a quick detail. See below for info on some of what I did.

When I went on the 4LOhio Invades AOAA trip in October I ripped my right front fender off. I had to get it repaired and this is what I did. The good thing is it only cost about $50 as I needed to buy a new inner brace because I broke off the mount for the turn signal / marker light. Below are some photos. This YouTube Video by ExtremeTerrain has all the details on how to replace one of the stock plastic fenders. I was able to buy all the parts I needed from Amazon. Enjoy!
Recently 303 released a new automotive coating product based upon Graphene technology. It is 303 Nano Spray Coating. I ordered it immediately after seeing Pan the Organizer’s YouTube Video introducing it.
It was almost 70 degrees in northeast Ohio over the weekend and I gave it a try on my Jeep. I know a Jeep is supposed to be dirty, but I like to keep it looking nice and presentable.
After I washed the Jeep and it was dry I followed the instructions on the bottle and used a MicroFiber Applicator Pad to apply the 303 Nano Spray Coating. I then applied a little product on the pad and used a cross hatch pattern to apply it. I let it dry to a white haze and buffed it off with a Microfiber Towel. The towel picked up product and I went through about 4 of them on the Jeep. I was concerned that the coating would render the towels and applicator pad useless so I put them in a bucket of water with some Meguiar’s All Purpose Cleaner D101 and will wash them soon.
Overall the coating went on easy and buffed off easy. It took a little bit of work to get it off the paint. But I think that it will be worth it. You do not use a large amount of product.
Some of the features of the product from the manufacture are
One thing to note about this product is that you are not required to correct your paint prior to application. If you are happy with it the way it is, then you do not need to do it. Just wash it and then apply the 303 Nano Spray Coating.
My overall thoughts are that I will keep this in my arsenal of detailing supplies and use it in the future. I need to see how long the coating lasts and how often it needs to be re-applied. Overall I give it a 5/5 stars right now.
