On Memorial Day we honor those who died in active military service. It is not a happy day, it is not just a day off, it is a day to honor those men and women who have died to protect our country. The local community held the annual Twinsburg Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony and I was there to capture it. I was able to get video of the parade and most of the ceremony (the camera overheated during the ceremony and shut down). See the photos at this Photo Gallery on my Photography Website and a I have posted a YouTube Video of the parade and ceremony. Favorite photos are below as well. Enjoy!
Earlier today we attended the Aurora 4th of July Parade. The City of Aurora (Ohio) hosts this parade every year. We have attended all but a few of them since 2005. All the photos from today’s parade are in this Gallery on my Photography Website, I have a few photos below as well. If you want to go back in time you can visit the other years parade photos with this link. Enjoy!
Merry Christmas! I hope all of your dreams come true. We are wishing we could have spent Christmas in Walt Disney World but that did not happen this year. This photo is from a few years ago. This was taken at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. This is probably the largest Christmas Tree I have ever seen. The Lobby is 5 stories and they can get a very large tree in there. Enjoy!
Thank you to all who served.
Today is Flag Day in the United States, this is a wonderful tribute that every American should see.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic the traditional Twinsburg Memorial Day Parade was cancelled. he VFW 4929 planned on having a private ceremony the small park next to the hall. The City arranged for a way for the community to honor the Veterans at the end of their ceremony.
The City asked the residents and the public official to line up at Twinsburg High School and have a Drive By Parade past the VFW Hall. Near the end of the ceremony the parade came past with all of the Vets watching. I set my camera up across the street to stay out of the way. I was able to capture photos and video of the parade.
This is Memorial Day Weekend in the United States. This not just a three day weekend, but on Memorial Day we honor military personal who had died while serving the United State Armed Forces. For many years the City of Twinsburg VFW 4929 has held a Memorial Day Parade, but this year due to COVID-19 it was cancelled. This year will be different but we will still honor these Great Americans who served and paid the ultimate for the freedom of the rest of us. The photo above is the VFW 4929 Honor Guard from the 2019 Parade. You can see photos of the previous years I was there on my photography website in this gallery.
I was finally able to take the time to visit the Christmas/Holiday Lights at Twinsburg City Hall and Twinsburg Township Square. I was waiting for some snow but it never came this year when I was able to go.
You may recall that the City, Township and the Village hosted a Lighting Ceremony earlier this month and I was there to capture the event in photos. Be sure to check out that blog post also.
The photos I took are below. Enjoy!
