Twinsburg Boys Soccer Sweeps Nordonia on Senior Night, Clinches Share of Suburban League Title

On Tuesday, September 29, 2026, the Twinsburg boys soccer program hosted Nordonia at Twinsburg High School for a JV and varsity doubleheader that also marked Senior Night. The JV Tigers opened the evening with an 8–1 win, and the varsity Tigers followed with a 2–0 victory.

The varsity result did more than preserve an unbeaten season. Twinsburg Athletics announced after the match that the win clinched at least a share of the Suburban League championship for the Tigers.

I was there for the JV match and the beginning of the varsity match, but I had to leave early. The photographs below therefore tell the story of the JV game, the Senior Night recognition, and the opening portion of varsity play rather than the entire varsity match.

Following the win, Twinsburg’s varsity record stood at 11–0–1 overall and 5–0 in conference play. Nordonia entered the match at 4–6 overall and 0–5 in the conference; the 2–0 loss made the Knights 4–7 overall and 0–6 in conference play.

Twinsburg is scheduled to visit North Royalton at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, before hosting Shaker Heights for a JV/varsity event at 11:00 a.m and 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 3.
