Twinsburg and Avon Lake Play to a 0–0 Boys Varsity Soccer Draw on Youth Night
On Saturday, September 26, 2026, the Twinsburg boys varsity soccer team hosted Avon Lake at Twinsburg High School Tiger Stadium. The teams played to a 0–0 draw under the stadium lights.
Youth Night and the Jack Benak Memorial Scholarship
The evening was part of the 23rd Annual Twinsburg Youth Soccer Night, which brought young players from Twinsburg AC Soccer and Twinsburg AYSO to Tiger Stadium. Youth players formed a pregame tunnel for the varsity team, and the event also included halftime exhibition games and other activities for the participating players.
Before the match, the 2026 Jack Benak Memorial Scholarship recipients were recognized. Jo Steiner and Anna Krouse as this year’s recipients, and they were photographed with the Twinsburg boys soccer team captains and coach.
A Scoreless Varsity Draw
Once play began, Twinsburg and Avon Lake produced a competitive match that remained scoreless through the final whistle. The photographs capture challenges in the air, runs through midfield, goalkeeper play, and several tense moments in front of the net as both teams worked for a breakthrough.
