On October 31, the Twinsburg High School girls varsity soccer team finished its 2026 season in the Division II Northeast 6 district championship match at Howland High School in Warren. That final afternoon brought a season of effort, friendships, and soccer into one more set of photographs—and gave me a chance to look back at the months that led there.
These are my top 25 photos from the girls soccer season. Together, they bring back the action, the celebrations, and the personalities that made this fall so enjoyable to photograph.
A Season Worth Remembering
The collection begins in August, with teammates in reaching up for a high-five and wrapping each other in a hug. By the end, medals hang from green ribbons, and the team is gathered for a photograph with its district runner-up plaque. In between is a season full of moments worth keeping.
There is plenty of soccer in these frames: a ball controlled in midair, players meeting for a header, a goalkeeper stretched across the turf, and a shot struck under the lights. Soccer keeps a photographer watching for what happens next. The ball can change direction in an instant, and the reaction afterward can be just as quick.
The Teammates Behind the Plays
Looking through these photos, I keep coming back to the players celebrating together. A jumping high-five. A group hug. Smiles shared beside the field. Those moments give the season its personality, and they are a big part of why I enjoy documenting this team.
Both junior varsity and varsity are represented here. I wanted this collection to include different parts of the girls soccer program—the action on the field and the connections around it. The posed photos belong alongside the saves and shots. Years from now, a familiar smile may bring back the season just as clearly as a photograph of a great play.
A Run to the District Championship Match
October brought the Tigers an opportunity to finish with a tournament run to remember. Twinsburg earned its place in the district final with a 9–1 victory over Warren G. Harding on October 26 at Tiger Stadium.
Five days later, the Tigers faced North Royalton for the Northeast 6 district title. North Royalton won 2–1, and Twinsburg finished as district runner-up. Reaching that championship match gave the team an achievement to be proud of and one more afternoon together on the field.
The closing images in this collection preserve that part of the story: the plaque, the medals, teammates standing together, and the full team gathered in front of the goal. I’m glad to have those photographs alongside the action that brought them there.
Thank You for the Season
To the players, coaches, families, and everyone who supported Twinsburg girls soccer this fall: thank you. It is a privilege to spend time along the sidelines and share these moments with you.
A special thank-you to the seniors closing this chapter of their high school soccer experience. I hope these photos give you something to return to—the teammates, the joy, and the memories of a season that took you all the way to the district final.
